Patrice Evra has revealed that Paul Scholes was the only Manchester United player not to receive the “hairdryer” treatment from the club’s legendary former manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Ferguson, who guided United to a remarkable amount of success during his time in charge of the club, was known to be unafraid to heavily criticise players for their performances, but, according to Evra, Scholes was never the recipient of one of the Scotsman’s tirades.
It is perhaps understandable why Ferguson never saw fit to express his anger with Scholes, with the midfielder having performed with incredible consistency throughout his two spells at the club.
Scholes, who made 718 appearances for United, won a wide array of trophies across his lengthy career- including eleven Premier League titles, two Champions Leagues, three FA Cups, two League Cups, the Intercontinental Cup and the World Club Cup.
Evra, meanwhile, played for United for seven and a half years before moving on to Juventus in 2014.
