Burnley manager, Vincent Kompany is reportedly in ‘advance talks’ with Bayern Munich over becoming their new head coach following Thomas Tuchel’s departure.
In his first season in charge, Kompany led Burnley to the Premier League. But he was unable keep them from returning to the Championship after earning just 24 points from 38 league games.
Before moving to Turf Moor, Kompany managed Anderlecht. It is believed that the 38-year-old will take up a position at the Allianz Arena after several managers turned down the Bavaria giants approaches, including Xabi Alonso, Ralf Rangnick, and Julian Naglesmann.
Tuchel reportedly had discussions with the club about staying longer after it was announced in February that he would be leaving. However, those discussions came to an end when the German decided to depart as anticipated.
According to Manchester World, it is anticipated that Craig Bellamy, a former Manchester City and Newcastle United forward, will move to Germany with Kompany if he does join the Bundesliga outfit.
After ending his playing career, the 44-year-old worked at Cardiff City before going on to Anderlecht to work as Kompany’s assistant manager. Kompany and the Welshman were teammates at Manchester City.
Following the Belgian to Burnley in 2022, the former Wales international has served as his assistant at the Clarets ever since.

A move to Allianz Arena would be a massive leap in the Belgian’s young managerial career.
Having just less than four years experience in the dug-out with just two clubs to his profile, moving to Bayern would mean he will be following in the footsteps of his former manager, Pep Guardiola, who also managed the Bundesliga giants for three seasons.
