Former Manchester United, Manchester City and West Ham United striker, Carlos Tevez has reportedly been rushed to hospital in Argentina after suffering from chest pain.
Tevez, 40, was officially admitted to the hospital, as confirmed by the team he now manages, Independiente, an Argentine top-flight club.
As echoed by the National World, the club said in a statement: “Our coach, Carlos Tevez, went to the La Trinidad Hospital in San Isidro with chest pain. They carried out the corresponding tests and they were satisfactory. Today he will continue with a series of tests scheduled in advance as part of a general check-up.”
“He will undergo further testing at Finochietto Hospital in Buenos Aires. The club added in a further update: “Carlos Tevez will be hospitalised as a precaution until the corresponding tests are completed.”
Although there has been no official statement from Tevez or his club regarding this. Local media is reporting that stress is a contributing factor in the health scare.
On Wednesday, April 24, Independiente are scheduled to train. However, it is unknown if the gaffer will be present.
Between 2006 and 2013, Tevez played for West Ham, Manchester United, and Man City, where he rose to cult hero status in the Premier League.
Fans praised his partnership with United great Wayne Rooney, who stated that Tevez was the player he most enjoyed playing with after their time together at the club.

Before winning across town with Manchester City in 2011–12, he won two successive Premier League titles with the Red Devils in the 2007–08 and 2008–09 seasons. Adding the UEFA Champions League in 2008.
The former Argentina international’s 20 goals in the 2010/11 Premier League season won him the Golden Boot while playing for City.
