Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra trolled Liverpool supporters prior to last night’s game at Anfield after posting a clip of himself celebrating in a classic encounter between the two sides.
Evra is known for his social media antics and the Frenchman, who now plays for Juventus, was quick to mock United’s rivals ahead of the eagerly- anticipated encounter between the two sides.
The left-back was involved in many heated encounters against Liverpool during his United career, which included a bitter confrontation with Luis Suarez, with the forward charged with racially abusing Evra.
United, who had scored 13 goals in the Premier League prior to last night, have made a mixed start to the season under Jose Mourinho but a victory over Liverpool would be a major boost in terms of enabling them to get their campaign on track.
Liverpool have started the campaign very well, with Jurgen Klopp’s team plying some vibrant, free-flowing football, and there have been suggestions in some quarters that they could challenge for the Premier League title.
