Exclusive: 2022 WCQ: Super Eagles Must Be Clinical In Goal Against Cape Verde -Baruwa

Former Nigerian goalkeeper, Abiodun Baruwa has advised the Super Eagles to take every goal scoring chances that comes their way against Cape Verde in today’s 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers at the Estádio Municipal Adérito Sena, Mindelo.

The former Sturm Graz goalie stated on the backdrop of the team missing some key players such as Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi, Oghenekaro Etebo, William Troost-Ekong, Joe Aribo and Leon Balogun due to UK covid-19 restriction.

In a chat with Completesports.com, Baruwa said that the Super Eagles must be clinical in front of goal if they are pick up any result against the Black Sharks today.

“We don’t have any excuse not to win against Cape Verde despite the fact that we’ll be missing some of our key players. Nigeria has an abundant of talents to beat Cape Verde at home.

“Yes, Cape Verde will be tough at home but then, with the likes of Victor Osimhen, Paul Onuachu, Terem Moffi, Simone Moses, and Henry Onyekuru in he attack, goal scoring shouldn’t be a difficult thing for the Super Eagles. They just have to be clinical in front of goal.”
