The agent of Crystal Palace winger, Michael Olise has been handed a six-month ban by the Football Association for breaching rules around a contract agreement with the player’s former club, Reading.
The FA discovered that Glen Tweneboah, who is still registered as an intermediary and continues to represent Olise, had broken the rules following the player’s signing of a three-year professional contract with Reading in 2019.
Tweneboah executed a contract that said he would be entitled to a 10% share of any future transfer fee received on Olise. But according to The Athletic as reported by Daily Mail, no such payment was ever made.
Since only clubs and players—not agents—can benefit from such an arrangement, it is against FA rules.
The agent has been fined £15,000 and given a six-month ban that starts on October 4, 2024. This means he can negotiate a possible transfer for Olise this summer.
After graduating from Reading’s academy, Olise signed his first professional contract in 2019.
After making 18 Premier League appearances, the 22-year-old, who is valued at £60 million, has scored 10 goals and provided five assists, making it an impressive season.
Manchester United have been heavily linked with a summer swoop for the Frenchman and an offer is said to be readied by the Red Devils.

The 22-year-old is attracting more attention despite having a £60 million valuation because of a clause in his contract that could be triggered this summer.
The France U21 international wants to play Champions League football if he leaves Palace. He was a target for Chelsea and Paris St. Germain last summer.
