Paris Saint-Germain played their first game since Lionel Messi was suspended for two weeks for an unapproved travel to Saudi Arabia.
Fabian Ruiz scored one of the three goals as the capital club defeated Troyes 3-1 on the road on Sunday at the Stade de l’Aube.
Ruiz then offered his thoughts on the team’s mood following the absence of the 2022 FIFA World Cup champion during PSG’s difficult week.
“I think the atmosphere is good within the team,” Ruiz said to RMC Sport.
“We are training well, with intensity as we have shown tonight.”
Despite PSG having a six-point advantage over RC Lens with four games remaining in the 2022–23 Ligue 1 season, the 27-year-old doesn’t think PSG can celebrate winning the league title just yet.
“No, there is still nothing done; mathematically, nothing is done, he repeated,” Ruiz continued.

“We still have matches and points to get; each match brings us closer to the goal. We must keep moving forward to achieve our goal as soon as possible.”
The French giants are set to undergo a number of changes, one of which being the apparent Messi exit after this occasion and the fact that his contract is up in June.
Meanwhile, Christophe Galtier could leave as speculation about the possible appointment of AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho grows louder.
