Chelsea are determined to send out a “strong message” to their title rivals over the Christmas period, according to Cesc Fabregas.
The Blues are six points clear at the top of the table after securing their 10th consecutive top-flight victory in midweek.
Antonio Conte’s side have been almost flawless since switching to a 3-4-3 formation with the Italian’s managerial rivals struggling to figure out how to nullify the Blues’ system.
But concerns have been raised in regards to Chelsea’s lack of rotation during the first half of the season, with some critics adamant a heavy workload could eventually take its toll on the pacesetters.
However, Fabregas is adamant Chelsea will not relent during a busy period of festive fixtures after edging past Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
“We want to keep winning, we know in this period we can send a strong message and hopefully we can continue like this,” he told the club’s official website.
“It’s very good we can compete like that, we should have been more clinical but credit to the defence, the whole team and Thibaut Courtois.”

Fatigue should not be a problem for Fabregas, who has made just seven Premier League appearances this season.
The Spaniard’s future has been a source of speculation in recent weeks but Fabregas is adamant he is in good shape to help Conte’s cause when he is called upon.
“Now I’ve had two starts in 10 days which is good for keeping my physical level up, because you can train and train but nothing compares to the game.
“I felt it in the last 15 minutes when I didn’t have the energy I had in the first 75 minutes,” he said of his performance in the victory at Sunderland.
Chelsea kick off their Christmas fixtures with a trip to Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon and could move nine points clear of their nearest rival with victory.
