Fabrizio Romano Claims Chelsea’s Deal For Atletico Madrid Striker ‘Done’

Chelsea are attempting to sign Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion and Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that they are currently scheduling a physical before finalizing the deal.

Despite bringing Nicolas Jackson to Stamford Bridge last summer, the Blues hope to acquire another centre-forward this summer.

The Senegalese striker had a difficult season with Chelsea and they are now close to signing Omorodion, who has previously been hailed as ‘excellent’.

Fabrizio Romano claims Chelsea plans to schedule a physical for Omorodion on Thursday before finalizing a contract.

According to the renowned journalist, a transaction for £34.5 million has been completed and he will sign a seven-year contract.

The Blues failed to reach the heights expected of them in the Premier League last season under Mauricio Pochettino and fans at Stamford Bridge will be hoping that Enzo Maresca can guide them in the right path.

Omorodion inked a five-year contract with Atletico Madrid on August 21, 2023, making the move official.

Omorodion joined Deportivo Alavés, another team in the Spanish first division, on loan until the conclusion of the campaign on August 26 of the same year.

He scored eight goals in the 2023–24 season to take the lead in La Liga for his team.
