Fabrizio Romano Drops Overnight Transfer Claim Against West Ham United

West Ham United have’rejected’ Inter’s initial bid to sign their striker, Gianluca Scamacca, according to Fabrizio Romano.

According to the Italian writer, the 2023 Champions League finalists have made a proposal of “£17.1 million” for the failing West Ham United star, who is “keen on the move.”

However, he claimed on Twitter that the London Stadium boardroom is looking for close to ‘£25 million’ for the hard-hitting 24-year-old striker.

Last summer, the Hammers paid a little more than £35 million (Sky Sports) for Gianluca Scamacca, hoping he would be the answer to their striker difficulties.

But, like many others before him, the Italian struggled and only managed three Premier League goals.

That is why it isn’t surprising that there is a potential he will go this summer, with Romano releasing this transfer report overnight.

“West Ham have rejected Inter’s initial offer of €20 million (£17.1 million) plus add-ons for Gianluca Scamacca,” Romano added.

“Inter will return with a new proposal in the coming days, close to €25 million (£21 million) package — West Ham’s asking price is thought to be around €30 million (£25 million).” “Scamacca, on the move.”

Time for Scamacca to move on

West Ham should just take the bullet and admit that this hasn’t worked and won’t work ahead of the start of the new Premier League season.

Some people advocate for the ‘top player’ to stay put and strive to establish a name for himself.

Scamacca, on the other hand, should look to a certain Sebastian Haller and how he has balled since struggling at West Ham before departing and earning a name for himself at Ajax and Dortmund.
