First and foremost, before we celebrate another iSoccer Fantasy Premier League monthly mini-league, Happy New Year to our most esteemed readers and followers.
With 2022, we kicked off the iSoccer monthly mini-league to reward our loyal readers and fans. Thank you for standing with us and we hope you are enjoying your wins.
Everyone will surely be looking forward to acquiring Chelsea and Fulham assets, as the two teams launch us into the Double Gameweek season.
Despite the threat of suspension, Aleksandar Mitrovic (£7.1m) is close to a ‘must-have’ for this double gameweek. Andreas Pereira (£4.6m) is a bit trickier. If you have a five-man midfield, you can roll with that – your Arsenal men will probably outscore him and Miguel Almiron (£5.9m) still offers great long-term value.
Meanwhile, Chelsea started well in Gameweek 17 against Bournemouth but the moment Reece James (£5.7m) went off injured, it was quite pedestrian again. Against Forest, however, the Blues were appalling.
Raheem Sterling’s (£9.7m) goal was down to good fortune rather than any creativity or merit.
Defensively, they looked shaky against a Forest side that is hardly prolific, registering just 0.94 expected goals (xG) and two big chances – one of which was Sterling’s.
Thiago Silva (£5.4m) should get both games with a rest coming in the FA Cup, while Mason Mount (£7.6m) looks like a good double gameweek option despite their poor form.
Erling Haaland’s (£12.2m) effective ownership (EO) is likely to be around 160-to-180 per cent, so a big score from the Norwegian could set one back significantly in rank.
However, this looks like the kind of week to try out other options who have a double gameweek for the captain’s armband.
iSoccer December Mini-League Recap
Post-World Cup, GW17 was the first gameweek of the iSoccer December mini-league.
Effectively, GW18 means only two gameweeks were in the December mini-league, just like the November mini-league. Both GW17 and GW18 winners have been announced on the iSoccer website.
