Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand has blasted Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta’s engagement with Salt Bae during the winter break training camp.
The Gunners recently took off for Dubai, where they participated in a number of mid-season training sessions under the sun. Since then, they have made a comeback and defeated Crystal Palace 5-0 to allay concerns about their poor performance. However, a video that features Arteta on social media has not gone over well.
Those from North London used their trip to Dubai as an opportunity to eat at the Nusr-Et Steakhouse in Abu Dhabi. The Turkish chef, who appeared in a video wherein he dangled a piece of steak in Arteta’s mouth, is credited with making the Steakhouse famous.
Ferdinand insisted that neither Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola nor anyone else in a position of authority would get involved in such a situation.
He said on Vibe With Five as echoed by The Mirror: “He [Salt Bae] was feeding some of the guests at my wedding like that.
“If I’m paying for that he ain’t feeding me nothing, not having it, but he was going around some of the guests doing that.
“A Man United manager ain’t doing that, only an Arsenal manager would do that type of stupidness. Pep [Guardiola] ain’t doing that.”

Salt Bae has succeeded in immersing himself in the football world. After the World Cup final in Qatar, the chef, whose real name is Nusret Gokce, was permitted to walk on the field thanks to his friendship with FIFA president Gianni Infantino.
Later on, he even got his hands on the trophy and posed for pictures with the player.
