Manchester United midfielder, Bruno Fernandes has expressed his support for Donny van de Beek as he completed his loan move to Eintracht Frankfurt.
Van de Beek, who has struggled since moving to Old Trafford in 2020, will be hoping that a stint with the Bundesliga team will allow him to regain the form that led to United’s signing of him.
Van de Beek was deemed surplus to requirements by Erik ten Hag after making just 62 appearances and scoring two goals for United, including two appearances this season.
On the first day of the January transfer window, his loan was approved. And the 26-year-old expressed how happy he was to have the chance to restart his career.
What Did Fernandes Say About Van De Beek Loan Move?
“New year, new chapter! Really happy to be part of this great club,” Van de Beek wrote on Instagram as cited by Daily Express. In a video posted on social media, the midfielder said: “Hello Eintracht fans, it’s Donny here. I’m very happy that I can join you guys. I can’t wait to start and I hope to see you soon in the stadium. All the best.”
Fernandes posted a comment in response to Van de Beek’s Instagram post. “Keep that smile bro” accompanied by a heart emoji. Demonstrating his close bond with the United flop, who responded with another heart and a prayer emoji.
Even though Van van Beek failed to regain his Ajax form under manager Ten Hag twice, Fernandes has shown that there are no hard feelings over his failure to make the desired impression at United.

If the Dutchman makes an impression while on loan in Germany, Frankfurt have the option of signing him permanently.
United hope this will happen as they try to reduce their wage bill and raise money for more additions during the summer transfer window.
