FIFA President Gianni Infantino announces the host nations for the 2030 and 2034 World Cups in a grand ceremony held in his native Switzerland.

FIFA will use another tri-country World Cup in 2030, similar to the one held by the United States, Mexico, and Canada in 2026.

FIFA would spread the competition over three continents. The main hosts in Europe will be Portugal and Spain, with extra matches taking place in Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay, and Morocco in Africa.

FIFA made the decision to proceed in spite of logistical and competitive issues with travel across the continents.
