Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s Comeback To The Ring Only Had To Wait A Week

Mayweather will return to the ring in only one week, on May 21, at the same venue and against the same opponent.

The heliport of the Burj Al Arab hotel was chosen for his exhibition fight, and it is the same location that will host the fight with the man regarded as the best fighter of all time.

Mayweather Jr. made the announcement via social media, announcing his return to the ring in an evening that will also include Anderson Silva, one of the UFC’s latest stars.

Why Was Mayweather’s Fight On Saturday Canceled?

Mayweather Jr and Moore were supposed to fight on the helipad the previous Saturday, but the passing of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan forced the fight to be canceled.

The match’s promoter, Global Titans, had said that the event would be rescheduled, and the new date was only a week away, so Floyd, who is undefeated in 50 fights, will get another chance to put on the gloves again.

Who Are The Top 5 On Mayweather’s List?

Mayweather had named the five finest boxers in history in an interview the week before, ranking himself first and left out a legend like Muhammad Ali.

Mayweather ranked himself first, ahead of fighters such as Pernell Whitaker, Roberto “Mano de Piedra” Durán, Larry Holmes, and Aaron Pryor.
