Victor Osimhen’s agent in Napoli has dismissed reports that his client would be loaned out this season as “fake news,” despite the Nigerian star continues to be linked to Chelsea and PSG.
The 25-year-old is certain to depart Naples before the current transfer window closes.
Osimhen, who has played in 133 games for Napoli and has 76 goals and 18 assists to his name, has been an important member of the team.
The striker’s 26 Serie A goals in the 2022–2023 season propelled the Naples-Italy team to the league title and it was this success that set the stage for the club’s summer interest in the player.
The interested parties appear to find the £113 million release clause in the Nigerian international’s present contract to be excessive.
Napoli is searching for a solution for Osimhen because they want Romelu Lukaku of Chelsea to replace him as soon as feasible.

The striker has previously shown interest in joining PSG, but it is unclear if Chelsea would follow suit. Napoli may also be willing to include Osimhen in a trade for Lukaku. This would be the simplest solution to the issue.
A loan transfer for the 25-year-old is one item that will not take place, reports Caught Offside.
Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, has refuted reports that surfaced this week that the striker may sign a one-year loan agreement to play for Chelsea.
“I’ve read about Victor and “fantasy trades.” as if he were a parcel that needed to be delivered right away,” Calenda said. The leading scorer of the third Scudetto in Napoli’s history is this package.
“Show respect and put an end to fake news!”
