Arne Slot is reportedly on his way to Liverpool FC but football analyst Jamie Carragher believes Thomas Tuchel of Bayern Munich would have been a better choice, according to SB Nation.
“Data will always be the driving force behind Liverpool. On the most recent episode of the Stick to Football podcast, the former Reds star stated, “I just don’t think Liverpool would go for those types of managers with the set-up they have behind the scenes.
The one manager who is out there who is like a proper… when you go ‘ugh’, and is available is Tuchel.
“I always go back to Tuchel because I just think he’s beaten Pep, even if Liverpool is currently among the top five or six clubs in Europe and has been for a few years.

I can’t help but picture a Liverpool fan standing on the sidelines, watching this guy and speculating about whether or not he could challenge him.
He would have appeared in three of the previous six Champions League finals if he made it to the championship game.
“I understand things haven’t gone as planned for him at Bayern Munich, but I was impressed with the work he did at Chelsea in trying to compete with Klopp and Pep’s Man City.”
We don’t just have a coach there who is essentially a yes man behind the scenes.
I hope the Liverpool team never forgets how strong the bond has to be with Liverpool support, that sense of like “he is our man, he can go up, he can fight against Pep, he can fight against whoever the Man United manager is.”
