Maccabi Tel Aviv defeated Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s Besiktas 3-1 at home, extending their losing streak this season.

And for Van Bronckhorst, who just took over the club in June, it appears to be the end of the road.

The Besiktaş Board of Directors will meet today to discuss Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s predicament as Turkish reporter, Ertan Suzgun of Play Sport tweeted on Friday.

“The Dutch coach is going to be leaving.” Soon, the formal announcement will be made.

He added: ‘It was a very sad match. It is disappointing for all of us, and for me too.

I am not performing well.

After Thursday’s game, former Arsenal defender acknowledged that he was depressed.

He said: ‘I am not living the best moments of my life.

Van Bronckhorst was already under a lot of strain since his team had lost all six of their previous league games.

They are sixth in the league, 13 points behind leaders Galatasaray, as a result of that run, reports Daily Mail.

The Turkish team is now only one point above the Europa League elimination zone after Thursday’s loss.
