Former Chelsea And Arsenal Star Fabregas Finalizes Move To Serie B Team Como

Cesc Fabregas has agreed to join Como on a free transfer, with the club confirming his arrival on Monday. At the conclusion of the previous campaign, the midfielder left Monaco.

The 35-year-old Fabregas left Chelsea for Monaco in 2019 and played 68 times in all competitions for the French team. He was only able to play in two Ligue 1 games, though, due to injury.

Details Of Fabregas’ Move To Como

Cesc Fabregas described the 2021-22 campaign as: “not only the worst year of my career but the worst year of my life” and rumours circulated that he could retire from the game.

Fabregas, however, has chosen to join the Lombardy-based second-tier team in order to continue his career in Italy.

The club uploaded a video of the player’s arrival on their official Twitter account. The former Barcelona star arrived in Italy on Monday to have a medical and finalize the contract.

Como was promoted to Serie B in 2020–21 and placed 13th in the division the previous year.

Dennis Wise, an ex-Chelsea captain, is a major executive at the Larian club, which hopes to compete for promotion to Serie A.

Due to his outstanding expertise from his time at Arsenal, Chelsea, Barcelona, and Monaco, Fabregas will be essential to their goals.

Cesc Fabregas’ Professional Path

Fabregas began his career at Barcelona’s legendary La Masia program before joining Arsenal in 2003. He was a key player for the Gunners when they won the FA Cup and advanced to the Champions League final.

In 2011, he departed to go back to Barcelona and played 151 times, winning the La Liga and other domestic awards.

Before leaving for Monaco in January 2019, Chelsea enticed him back to the Premier League, where he won the FA Cup, Europa League, and the title twice.
