Oscar, a former Chelsea midfielder, is reportedly “trapped in China” because his club Shanghai Port FC thwarted his dream transfer back to Brazil.
He has been in the Far East since January 2017, when he was one of many big-name players enticed by the Chinese Super League’s mega-wealth.
Hulk, Renato Augusto, Carlos Tevez, Ezequiel Lavezzi, Axel Witsel, and Paulinho are just a few of the stars who also moved to the CSL.
Five and a half years later, Oscar has made more than £100 million in China and scored 51 goals across all competitions since completing a £60 million switch at the age of 25.
He also won the league in 2018 and was set for a move to Flamengo.
Oscar was eager for the move, where he would be reunited with fellow countrymen David Luiz and Filipe Luis, and had already posed in the club’s uniform.

What Blocked The Move To Flamengo?
According to The Mirror, Oscar reached an agreement with Flamengo and left for his native Brazil after receiving clearance to do so for private reasons.
But his team, formerly known as Shanghai SIPG, disapproved of the arrangement and refused to sign the required documents.
Even a loan deal was not approved, leaving Oscar in a dilemma despite his desire for a new challenge.
It appears he has given up on the move as he took to twitter to address the issue.

Oscar tweeted; “I would like to thank everyone for the affection and messages received in the last month, especially from all Flamengo fans.”
I appreciate the interest of Flamengo and the fans, but it was not possible to do so at that moment. I wish the club the best of luck and all the friends I have there for the rest of this season. Thank you all!”
