Former Everton Director Prefers Mohamed Salah Leave Liverpool To Saudi This Summer

Keith Wyness, a former director of Everton, thinks Mohamed Salah will leave Liverpool.

With only a year left on his Anfield deal, the Egyptian has had doubts about his future in recent seasons, reports Liverpool Echo

Giants from Saudi Arabia, Al-Ittihad, mounted a spectacular transfer raid last summer in an attempt to acquire the attacker from Anfield just before the summer transfer window closed.

After Liverpool turned down the approach, Salah had a fantastic season on Merseyside, setting a new record and becoming the only player in Premier League history to score over 10 goals and assists.

While his colleagues have been playing for their countries, the 32-year-old is one of the few senior players who has spent the most of the preseason training with new head coach Arne Slot.

Wyness claims that with the possibility of the Egyptian moving on a free transfer the next summer, Liverpool must make a choice.

He stated, “I’ve always felt that Salah to Saudi was going to happen this year,” in an interview with Football Insider podcast. Salah has to be traded for £100 million, but Liverpool must decide whether to pay that amount or keep Salah for this season and let him leave for nothing.”

“To pass him up and believe he’s worth it for the season is a significant amount. The majority of analysts and Liverpool supporters I spoke to all think that Salah should probably be let go.
