Former Premier league Star Not Put Off By UCL Return To Man United

Galatasaray winger, Wilfried Zaha is reportedly not freightened on his return to England where he will line up against Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League.

After initially departing Palace in the summer of 2013, Zaha played one season at United, where he became Sir Alex Ferguson’s final acquisition at Old Trafford.

Croydon-raised Zaha only played in two league games for the Red Devils under David Moyes prior to spending the second half of the season on loan at Cardiff City.

He later went back to Selhurst Park, where he created records for both Premier League goals scored and appearances for Palace.

The 30-year-old left the Eagles during the summer after turning down a club-record £200,000 per week contract offer to sign with Turkish behemoths Galatasaray, who play United in the Champions League tonight.

“I’ll be honest, when you look at my face, do you think I am bothered at all? No,” said Zaha as reported by London Online News.

“Realistically, I think I went through a phase where you either build from it or you die out from it. And, me personally, I was never going to die out from it.

“It built my character. I was determined to not let my career die out because I went somewhere and it didn’t work out. I was just determined to reach where I wanted to reach and I am here today.”
