Foxes keep tabs on Vardy back-up

Leicester City continue to be linked with a move for Metz star Habibou Diallo, as Brendan Rodgers looks to bring in a new striker. Jamie Vardy remains bang in form for the Foxes as he sits top of the Premier League goalscoring charts, but that is not stopping Rodgers from searching for another attacker.
Diallo has now emerged as a potential target as he continues to shine for the French side in Ligue 1 when firing home eight goals in 13 appearances.
Leicester are not the only club to be showing an interest in the 24-year-old, with Chelsea, Tottenham and Newcastle also said to be keeping a close eye on developments.
Metz are struggling in the French top flight as they sit 17th in the table, but they could still be willing to cash in for a fee in the region of £10million.
That would be relatively cheap in this day and age, so it comes as no surprise to see Leicester being linked with a swoop.
Meanwhile, Leicester are also said to be in the hunt for Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos but the Glasgow giants are in no mood to sell.
Morelos scored his 22nd goal of the campaign during Sunday’s win at Livingston and has been repeatedly linked with moves away, with the Foxes, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa all said to be monitoring his form.
Rodgers has seen close up what he can do following his time in charge at Celtic, but the Light Blues are keen to keep hold, at least until the end of the season. “We want our best players to stay here as long as they possibly can,” their new sporting director Ross Wilson has said.
