FPL Gameweek 37 Recap: The Penultimate Gameweek Of The Season

With two cup finals on the horizon, Sunday’s 1-0 win over Chelsea was achieved without FPL mainstays Haaland (£12.4m), Kevin De Bruyne (£12.2m), Jack Grealish (£7.1m).

And there were plenty of changes on Wednesday, as Ederson (£5.4m) remained on the bench, Julian Alvarez (£6.1m) dropped down to it and the likes of Grealish, Ruben Dias (£6.0m) and Manuel Akanji (£5.1m) weren’t involved at all.

Meanwhile, Man United booked their UEFA Champions League place for next season thanks to a 4-1 victory over Chelsea at Old Trafford, with goals from Casemiro (£4.9m), Anthony Martial (£6.3m), Bruno Fernandes (£9.5m) and Marcus Rashford (£7.2m).

However, it was not all good news for the hosts, as Antony (£7.3m) had to be stretchered off after suffering a serious-looking foot injury. Meanwhile, Luke Shaw (£5.3m) was withdrawn at half-time with a “slight” back issue.

FPL managers will now be anxiously awaiting a further update on Shaw, but a start on Sunday is in doubt, given that Man Utd only have two full days of rest before Gameweek 38, with an FA Cup final against Manchester City to follow

The last FPL deadline of the season is slated for Sunday, 28th May @ 15:00pm WAT.

Time for one more win?

Gameweek 37 Winners

With just one Gameweek to go after GW37, we begin to say our goodbyes. However, until the last of the N500,000 FPL 22/23 total cash money is disbursed to our winners in the May mini-league, we won’t be leaving this space!

These are the lucky 5 in GW37:

1.    Mascots Ball (DeeJay’s Boys)

2.   Adedayo Jara (Forest Warriors)

3.   Santi Bayo (The Boss)

4.   Ozos Abdulrahman (Grizzlies)

5.   Manasseh Kenneth (Manni men)

Please send in your team names as comments below this post. Also, send in picture proof of your team and phone number to damilaresoccer@gmail.com.

Please note: There will be no consecutive winners (winning in consecutive weeks/months), as this would defeat the “goal” of reaching out to more players. The next eligible player on the rankings will get the win instead.

Also Note: Each player is entitled to only ONE team. Therefore, payments will be denied from players with more than one team.
