Erling Haaland (£12.0m) scored in Manchester City’s 3-0 victory over Wolves on Saturday to earn 6 FPL points. He now has 11 goals to his name in the English Premier League.
However, he was outscored by Gameweek 8 captaincy alternatives Kevin De Bruyne (£12.3m), Harry Kane (£11.4m) and even Tottenham Hotspur substitute Son Heung-min (£11.7m) who all scored double-digit totals.
Son was easily the best GW8 player, earning 19 points against sorry Leicester with a 2nd half hattrick.

With just 7 games across board from the usual 10, not much else was there to see in FPL gameweek 8.
With the international break taking 2 weeks from our club football lives, the next FPL gameweek isn’t until next month, October.
The FPL Gameweek 9 deadline is on Saturday 1st of October, at 11:00am WAT.

The iSoccer September Mini-League Recap
The death of Queen Elizabeth II wasn’t exactly the news football fans were looking forward to. With the Queen’s passing, football games across The United Kingdom were postponed.
The FPL September league was originally slated to have 3 gameweeks, with the international breaks slated to fill the last weeks in September.
However, with the events surrounding the Queen’s death, the September league sees just 2 gameweeks played. Albeit, with one incomplete gameweek (GW8 had just 7 games).
