The 2024/25 Fantasy Premier League season is up and running, while millions of managers got excited about how their first gameweek went, there are other millions, who are not satisfied with the points they earned.
Just a little bit of motivation, there are still 37 GWs left to claim bragging rights in the leagues you belonged to, and the iSoccer mini-league is surely part of it. Not winning this week, doesn’t necessarily mean you will not till the end of the season.
Enough of our inspirational talks and let’s dive into what we witnessed in the first gameweek of the new season.
Manchester United hosted Fulham in the first game of the season with both teams showing their qualities on the Old Trafford turf.
In Friday’s Premier League opener at the Theatre of Dreams, Joshua Zirkzee (£7.0m), the £36.5 million summer acquisition from Bologna, scored the game-winning goal after coming off the bench.
With just three minutes remaining, the Dutchman thrust Alejandro Garnacho’s (£6.5m) cross into the back of the net.
A Mohamed Salah (£12.5m) haul, and Diogo Jota (£7.5m) goal was enough for Liverpool as they defeated newly promoted side, Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
Salah subsequently became the first Premier League player to score nine goals in opening day fixtures, and has earned 99 points on such occasions.

Arsenal picked up from where they left off last season with another dominant display against Wolves at the Emirates stadium.
The best defense in the division from the previous campaign continued their excellent performance, recording a clean sheet. In a similar manner, Bukayo Saka (£10.0m) and Kai Havertz (£8.0m) assisted each other’s goals.
Manchester City weren’t at their fluent best against Chelsea but they still got the job done as they recorded a 2-0 victory over a not so impressive Enzo Maresca’s side.
Erling Haaland (£15.0m), owned by 51.6% of the FPL managers, gave the defending champions the lead before Mateo Kovacic (£5.5m), who thrived in the “Rodri” role, completed the victory with a brilliant late goal.
Bernardo Silva (£6.5 million), who has now assisted six goals in his previous seven Premier League games dating back to Gameweek 34, set up Haaland’s opening goal.

Please Note: Winners will be contacted directly by the iSoccer FPL admins ONLY if they have dropped a comment or their team names at any point during the season. Winners who haven’t fulfilled any of the above requirements would have their win passed down to a next eligible manager (who has sent in comments).
This will be done on the next Gameweek’s Deadline Day (provided winners didn’t comment still). And once payments are made to another manager, it becomes irreversible.
No manager is entitled to win in two consecutive GWs. So, any reward of such would be passed down to the next manager in line. This is necessary to make winnings go round.
Net points for the week will be used in picking winners, rather than gross points.
Also Note: Each player is entitled to only ONE team. Therefore, payments will be denied from players with more than one team, and passed to next manager.
All players are also advised to follow the social media handles and to visit the iSoccer website frequently.
