FPL GW15 Recap: First Midweek Games, Low Scoring Points; iSoccer Winners

When managers are yet to recover from the low scoring tally in gameweek 13 whose overall average is placed at 40 points, gw15 decided to come with its own ‘wahala’ thereby becoming the lowest gameweek so far this season on global average placed at 35 points.

Differentials made the difference and managers who owned them enjoyed the goodies that come with them.

Neither of Mohamed Salah (£13.1m) and Erling Haaland (£14.0m) produced an attacking return for their owners despite facing Sheffield United and Aston Villa respectively. Although, a case could be made for the latter who played against a side yet to drop points at home this season.

Bukayo Saka (£8.9m) produced an assist in the Gunners’ entertaining 4-3 win against newly-promoted Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.

It was bad news for managers who owned Brentford forward, Bryan Mbuemo (£7.1m) as he limped off in the Bees’ 2-1 loss to Brighton and Hove Albion. Though, he managed to make his backers smile when he scored from the spot. He is expected to be out for an extended period.

Differentials such as Everton duo, Dwight McNeil (£5.4m) and Abdoulaye Doucoure (£5.5m) produced the goods for their minority owners in the Toffees’ 3-0 victory over Newcastle United. Therefore, bringing anguish towards the backers of the Magpies’ assets such as Kieran Trippier (£7.0m), Anthony Gordon (£6.1m), Fabian Schar (£5.3m) and Alexander Isak (£7.6m).

In the other mouth-watering clash at Old Trafford between Manchester United and Chelsea which majority of football lovers around the globe termed the ‘battle of the mid’, no thanks to the present form of both clubs.

Scot McTominay (£4.9m) scored a brace to seal a 2-1 win, meaning Cole Palmer’s (£5.4m) effort at the edge of the box amounted to nothing. However, it did amount to something for his backers who are now making him a popular pick.

Heung-min Son (£9.6m) also followed the blank suit as he failed to score or assist on Thursday, when Tottenham Hotspur hosted West Ham United. Spurs raced through an early lead when Cristian Romero (£4.9m) popped up with a header from Pedro Porro’s (£5.3m) corner kick.

West Ham equalized through Jarrod Bowen (£7.6m) and James Ward Prowse (£6.1m) to give their patient owners something to be happy about.

Please Note: Winners will be contacted directly by the iSoccer FPL admins ONLY if they have dropped a comment or their team names at any point during the season. Winners who haven’t fulfilled any of the above requirements would have their win passed down to a next eligible manager (who has sent in comments).

This will be done on the next Gameweek’s Deadline Day (provided winners didn’t comment still). And once payments are made to another manager, it becomes irreversible.

No manager is entitled to win in two consecutive GWs. So, any reward of such would be passed down to the next manager in line. This is necessary to make winnings go round.

Net points for the week will be used in picking winners, rather than gross points.

Also Note: Each player is entitled to only ONE team. Therefore, payments will be denied from players with more than one team, and passed to next manager.

All players are also advised to follow the social media handles and to visit the iSoccer website frequently.
