FPL GW19 Recap: Patient Owners Reap Results; iSoccer Winners

The Fantasy Premier League (FPL) gameweek 19 is a week where managers who owned assets who have not been delivering returns until now were patiently rewarded by some of these players.

Darwin Nunez (£7.5m), Alexander Isak (£7.6m), Tomas Soucek (£4.9m), Joao Pedro (£5.4m), Alejandro Garnacho (£4.7m) just to mention a few.

In the absence of Manchester City talisman, Erling Haaland (£13.9m) in recent weeks, managers have somewhat found it difficult to select who they give the armband, and by no surprise, majority of managers haven’t been rewarded with huge returns just like how the Norwegian used to deliver.

Little wonder, the overall average points tally in these gameweeks have been meagre compared to when he is available for selection.

The most captained asset for this week, Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) disappointed millions of managers who entrusted him with the armband as he returned just 6 points to those who put their captaincy faith in him.

Heung-min Son (£9.9m) is the other who left his backers little to smile about. In an open game which some managers believed he was going to haul, only for them to see their celebrated South-Korean returned with 10 points which wasn’t bad by the way.

The game of the week involved Manchester United and Aston Villa at Old Trafford. The Villians raced through a two-goal lead with none of the popular picks in the team involved in both goals. It was the Red Devils who pulled an incredible comeback in the second 45 minutes, courtesy of Garnacho’s brace and Rasmus Hojlund (£6.8m) strike in the box.

Manchester City returned to winning ways following their 3-1 win over Everton at the Goodison Park.

Phil Foden (£7.6m), Julian Alvarez (£6.9m) and Bernardo Silva (£6.4m) were the goalscorers for Pep Guardiola’s side. Which meant Jack Harrison’s first half strike amounted to nothing.

West Ham United produced a shocking result at the Emirates on Thursday. Jarrod Bowen continued to dish returns as he assisted Soucek for the opening goal. Former Arsenal defender, Kostas Mavropanos (£4.5m) rounded the scoreline for the Hammers. Arsenal forward assets are potentially becoming a liability as none of them have produced any return in two consecutive GWs.

The FPL is gradually getting to the intense stage where, while some managers will be enjoying the challenge, others will feel the opposite hence giving up on the potentiality of the season. In whichever way, WE SHALL BE THERE!!!

Please Note: Winners will be contacted directly by the iSoccer FPL admins ONLY if they have dropped a comment or their team names at any point during the season. Winners who haven’t fulfilled any of the above requirements would have their win passed down to a next eligible manager (who has sent in comments).

This will be done on the next Gameweek’s Deadline Day (provided winners didn’t comment still). And once payments are made to another manager, it becomes irreversible.

No manager is entitled to win in two consecutive GWs. So, any reward of such would be passed down to the next manager in line. This is necessary to make winnings go round.

Net points for the week will be used in picking winners, rather than gross points.

Also Note: Each player is entitled to only ONE team. Therefore, payments will be denied from players with more than one team, and passed to next manager.

All players are also advised to follow the social media handles and to visit the iSoccer website frequently.
