FPL GW2 Recap: Big Bang Haaland; iSoccer Winners

The Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek two reminded us, most especially the non-owners of Erling Haaland (£15.1m) about his importance in the game.

The Norwegian talisman plundered a hattrick – his 7th in the league – as Manchester City ran riot against newly promoted Ipswich Town.

Captained by nearly four million managers, 475,000 triple captained, and 45 percent of FPL managers do not own the 2023/24 golden boot winner.

In Tottenham Hotspur’s 4-0 thrashing of Everton, Son Heung-min (£10.0m) scored a brace. Joao Pedro (£5.5m), Danny Welbeck (£5.5m), Emile Smith Rowe (£5.5m), and Morgan Gibbs-White (£6.5m) were among the budget-friendly options who scored goals.

Even though they did ride their luck, Arsenal did what they do best by keeping a clean sheet in their 2-0 win against Aston Villa.

Leandro Trossard (£6.9m) came off the bench to net his first goal of the campaign. Thoams Partey (£5.0m) also got on the scoresheet after Bukayo Saka (£10.0m) laid a pass to him at the edge of the box.

Arne Slot maintained his 100 percent streak as a Liverpool boss when the Reds defeated Brentford 2-0 at Anfield.

Luis Diaz (£7.5m) and Mohamed Salah (£12.5m) scored to keep up the pace in the league.

The front three combined for ten shots, with Diaz’s first coming from Diogo Jota’s (£7.6m) assist.

Although Yoane Wissa (£6.0m) and Bryan Mbeumo (£7.0m) were quieter than normal, the Bees still posed a threat with set pieces.

The high point of Chelsea’s fantastic away victory came from a hat-trick by Noni Madueke (£6.5m) within 14 minutes of the second half.

Cole Palmer (£10.5m), who had earlier scored with a daring chip, assisted all three of his goals.

On the south coast, Anthony Gordon’s (£7.5m) far post finish cancelled Marcus Tavernier’s (£5.5m) opening goal.

Cherries’ star, Antoine Semenyo (£5.5m), added an assist to the goal he scored from the previous week.

Please Note: Winners will be contacted directly by the iSoccer FPL admins ONLY if they have dropped a comment or their team names at any point during the season. Winners who haven’t fulfilled any of the above requirements would have their win passed down to a next eligible manager (who has sent in comments).

This will be done on the next Gameweek’s Deadline Day (provided winners didn’t comment still). And once payments are made to another manager, it becomes irreversible.

No manager is entitled to win in two consecutive GWs. So, any reward of such would be passed down to the next manager in line. This is necessary to make winnings go round.

Net points for the week will be used in picking winners, rather than gross points.

Also Note: Each player is entitled to only ONE team. Therefore, payments will be denied from players with more than one team, and passed to next manager.

All players are also advised to follow the social media handles and to visit the iSoccer website frequently.
