FPL GW25 Recap: Another Egyptian Sheriff In Town; iSoccer Winners

Just like the previous Gameweek, the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) GW 25 had several managers hitting the 100 points mark and with the average being placed at 74 – 13 points below GW24 – the assertion only strengthens further.

This season’s FPL, has seen a lot of talks centred around Mohamed Salah (£13.7m), who many have dubbed the king of the game. However, there is another asset, who made the waves this gameweek, and he is no other than the Liverpool talisman’s compatriot, Omar Marmoush (£7.1m).

The Manchester City’s new signing opened his account with a sublime 14 minutes hat-trick to register 17 points, however, that was not enough to earn him the player of the week gong.

That award goes to his Egyptian’s teammate Salah, who plundered 20 points in yet another double gameweek for Liverpool.

The 32-year-old continues to stake his claim in the game after scoring two goals and provided an assist in the Reds’ clashes against Wolves and Aston Villa.

Brighton youngster, Yankuba Minteh (£5.0m) produced arguably his best performance of the season as the Seagulls shocked Chelsea in a 3-0 win at the Amex stadium. The Gambian scored a brace to claim 15 points in the encounter.

Ollie Watkins (£8.9m) showed his worth in Aston Villa’s DGW against Ipswich Town and Liverpool as he registered a goal each in both matches to collect 15 points.

Mikel Merino (£6.0m) came off the bench to net a brace in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Leicester City to grab 13 points as the Spaniard became the Gunners’ emergency no.9.

Following his return from injury, Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.4m) registered a double-figure haul as he successfully kept a cleansheet and scored an equalizer against Wolves and Aston Villa respectively to claim 13 points.
