FPL GW28 Recap: Record-Breaking Salah; iSoccer Winners

Another Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek, another Mohamed Salah (£13.8m) record.

The FPL GW28 saw the Liverpool talisman break the most points in a single season having scored two goals from the penalty spot which earned him 15 points to take his seasonal tally to 306 which is three more than the highest (303) in a season.

The Egyptian broke his own record with nine matches still left to play. If he continues with this rich vein of form, he will most likely reach the 400-point mark before the end of the season.

Darwin Nunez (£7.0m) returned to the starting fold with a bang as he plundered a goal and an assist to collect 10 points as Arne Slot’s side extended their lead at the top of the table following a 3-1 win over Southampton.

Chelsea defender, Marc Cucurella (£5.2m) has now made it back-to-back double-figure hauls following his goal, a cleansheet and the maximum bonus points to claim 15 points in the Blues’ 1-0 win over Leicester City.

The Spaniard achieved the same feat last gameweek when Chelsea entertained Southampton at the Stamford Bridge.

Cole Palmer’s (£11.0m) penalty miss against the Foxes, which was his first has proven to be the final nail on the coffin for the majority of his owners, who have been patient with him. The Englishman has now made it four matches in a row without an attacking return.

Ismaila Sarr (£5.6m) made the difference yet again for Crystal Palace in their 1-0 victory over Ipswich Town.

For the first time since GW17, the Senegalese has now recorded consecutive attacking returns having been on the scoresheet in the Eagles’ 4-1 win against Aston Villa last GW.
