Before we start digging deep into the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek 29, we would like to apologize to the winners of gameweek 28 as we didn’t publish any newsletter neither did we make any post on our social media handles. As we all know there was an internet outage across the nation. If network service providers can be affected by this malaise, who are we not to be affected by? Just saying though.
Nevertheless, the winners of GW28 will get their reward with or without our FPL newsletter as we’ve promised to reward all weekly winners and GW28 is not an exemption.
The Blank Gameweek (BGW) has broken an all-time record in the FPL as it became the lowest scoring gameweek in recent memories with the overall average score placed at 12 points which is very underwhelming. Maybe that’s why it is called a blank week.
As a result of the FA Cup quarter-final matches being played on the same weekend, six fixtures were postponed meaning just four matches were played in gameweek 29.
Interestingly, the gameweek turned out to be a very drab one even as over 500,000 managers activated their freehit chip (a record number) to navigate the week. But the freehit turned out to be a disaster for most managers.
Fulham striker, Rodrigo Muniz (£4.6m) was the player of the week with just 13 points following his double against Tottenham Hotspur. Though, other Fulham players like Antoinee Robinson (£4.5m) and Timothy Castagne (£4.5m) plundered 11 and 10 points respectively to give their owners a boost.

Popular Tottenham assets, Heung-min Son (£9.0m), James Maddison (£8.0m), Pedro Porro (£5.8m), and Richarlison (£6.9m) failed to get the end of any return.
West Ham United and Aston Villa popular picks also failed to give returns which guaranteed a very low scoring week as the highest scoring manager for the week scored 78 points. This isn’t even up to the total amount of points Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) plundered (86) when managers activated their triple captain chip during Liverpool’s double game week against Leeds United and Norwich City in the 2021/22 season.

Please Note: Winners will be contacted directly by the iSoccer FPL admins ONLY if they have dropped a comment or their team names at any point during the season. Winners who haven’t fulfilled any of the above requirements would have their win passed down to a next eligible manager (who has sent in comments).
This will be done on the next Gameweek’s Deadline Day (provided winners didn’t comment still). And once payments are made to another manager, it becomes irreversible.
No manager is entitled to win in two consecutive GWs. So, any reward of such would be passed down to the next manager in line. This is necessary to make winnings go round.
Net points for the week will be used in picking winners, rather than gross points.
Also Note: Each player is entitled to only ONE team. Therefore, payments will be denied from players with more than one team, and passed to next manager.
