The Fantasy Premier League is getting to the intense stage, where the boys are being separated from the men. Apologies, if you take this as a bad joke, that’s what the FPL can birth.
Finally, we get to see another gameweek after the international break. The GW 9 of the 2023/24 EPL season is done and dusted. Fantasy managers across the world are back in business until at least mid-November before another break ensues. Without any further ado, let’s dig in proper, what happened in the previous round of the FPL.
For the fourth time in five Gameweeks, Mohamed Salah (£12.7 million) outperformed Erling Haaland (£14.0 million), as he cemented his position atop the FPL points table with a brace in the Merseyside derby.
In Manchester City’s 2-1 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion, Haaland at least registered his ninth goal of the season. Julian Alvarez (£7.1m), who is now only six points behind his more costly teammate, was also on target.
The only player with more bonus points (12) this season than the Argentina international (11) is Kieran Trippier (£6.9 million), who registered another assist to deliver 10 points.
On a hectic week in the Premier League, Jacob Murphy (£4.8 million), an unusual figure, led the way with 17 points after contributing to three of the Magpies’ four goals against Crystal Palace.
In an attempt to maintain his lead over Trippier in the goal contributions chart, Pedro Neto (£5.8 million) set up Wolverhampton Wanderers’ opening goal against Bournemouth, earning his seventh assist of the season.
In 2023–24, Bukayo Saka (£8.5 million) made an attacking return for the seventh time in eight starts, proving that he is a blank-less magician.
Cole Palmer (£4.9 million) is once again on target for the Blues from the penalty spot.
Without a doubt, Marcus Rashford (£8.8 million) hasn’t. During the late-night game at Bramall Lane, he went blank, marking his seventh run-out this season in nine attempts.
Ultimately, a string of empty goals was ended by Bryan Mbeumo (£6.7 million), who registered a goal and assist against Burnley.

Ollie Watkins (£8.2m), the most transferred-in player for Gameweek 9, scored a goal and provided an assist.
Douglas Luiz’s (£5.4m) is proving to be a major differential. His two goals against West Ham ensured he delivered 15 points to his few trusted managers.
Jarrod Bowen (£7.3 million) scored his sixth league goal of the season on Sunday, matching his total from the entire 2022–2023 campaign—but it took a significant deflection for it to happen.
Son Heung-min (£9.5 million) was the hero against Fulham, scoring his sixth goal of the campaign to put Tottenham ahead. Later, he provided a calm assist for James Maddison’s (£8.1 million) strike.

Please Note: Winners will be contacted directly by the iSoccer FPL admins ONLY if they have dropped a comment or their team names at any point during the season. Winners who haven’t fulfilled any of the above requirements would have their win passed down to a next eligible manager (who has sent in comments).
This will be done on the next Gameweek’s Deadline Day (provided winners didn’t comment still). And once payments are made to another manager, it becomes irreversible.
No manager is entitled to win in two consecutive GWs. So, any reward of such would be passed down to the next manager in line. This is necessary to make winnings go round.
Net points for the week will be used in picking winners, rather than gross points.
Also Note: Each player is entitled to only ONE team. Therefore, payments will be denied from players with more than one team, and passed to next manager.
All players are also advised to follow the social media handles and to visit the iSoccer website frequently.
