Mikayil Faye, another FC Barcelona youngster, appears to be on track to make an impact at the highest level following the prodigious Pau Cubarsi.
According to Barca News ,the 19-year-old has been performing admirably for Barcelona Atletic since his arrival last summer, and his recent performance for Senegal’s senior team has catapulted him back into the spotlight in the football market.
Faye scored a spectacular goal in his Senegal national team debut, and since then, there have been constant rumors linking him to clubs throughout Europe.
Despite these rumors, the only club that has expressed interest in the defender and made efforts to sign him is the French club Lens.

Lens made a loan offer for Faye last winter, with a €9 million mandatory purchase clause. However, FC Barcelona rejected the proposal, as the Catalans continue to rely on the player’s development and progression under Rafa Marquez.
However, the French are not giving up on their pursuit of the Senegalese, with reports from Senegal indicating that they will make another offer for him in the coming days. This time, Lens is considering a direct transfer for a fee slightly higher than €9 million.
Meanwhile, other major European clubs, including Manchester United and Bayern Munich, have expressed interest in Faye, with both looking to strengthen their defensive centers, and the latter also strongly linked with Ronald Araujo.
Faye will continue to play for his national team and will hope to improve his stock even more by putting on another strong performance against Benin.
His national team coach, Aliou Cisse, has praised him and is likely to give him another chance to play in this match.
