Fury announces boxing return

British light-heavyweight Tommy Fury says he plans to return to the ring this year as he tries to kickstart his career. The Manchester fight has not fought since March after he entered the TV show ‘Love Island’ this summer. Fury’s record currently stands at 2-0 after wins over Jevgenijs Andrejevs and Callum Ide. He still has plans to become a world champion like his brother, Tyson. ‘TNT’ will fight at London’s Copper Box Arena on December 21 as part of the undercard of Daniel Dubois v Kyotaro Fujimoto. He claims he will fight YouTuber KSI in 2020 but for now wants to shake off any rust before planning a title charge in the new year. Fury told BT Sport: “This time next year hopefully we will have a big fight. I’ve heard he (KSI) wants to continue fighting, so if he wants a real fight, he knows where I am. “I’m bringing a whole new audience over of people who have never even watched a fight before. It’s not just a fight with blood, but it’s an event. “I do not want to be another reality TV star that has been and gone. I want to build on that platform. I’ve established who I am and now I want to come back home, and that is in the ring.”
