Galatasaray have reportedly opened talks to sign their on-loan Brighton striker Florin Andone permanently, but face some obstacles in their bid. Reports in Turkey claim Andone’s name is one of the ‘most spoken’ at the Istanbul club after the Romanian’s impressive start to his loan spell.
His star turn in a recent 3-2 win against Sivasspor, in which he scored twice, has made him the darling of the fans and cranked the pressure up on cub officials to push the Seagulls for a deal.
Andone has scored two goals in five league starts so far and is a popular option for coach Fatih Terim, who gave him the sole striker’s berth in their recent home clash with Real Madrid.
It is now claimed that Galatasaray officials want ‘to push the button’ to make the 26-year-old a Cimbom player in the long-term.

However, they face a couple of huge hurdles – the main one being that Brighton do not want to sell and remain in close contact with the player as they follow his fortunes in the Turkish Super Lig and Champions League.
He remains under contract at the Amex Stadium until 2023 and Brighton will hope he returns to England in better goalscoring form than he showed over his first two seasons.
But the player is understood to be unsure about his suitability to the Premier League and this report also claims he has conveyed his request to his agent to open talks with Galatasaray.
The second obstacle for the Turkish club is Financial Fair Play with Galatasaray obliged to act in order to balance their transfer deficit.
That means they will have to sell before they can buy in January, which may mean any serious negotiations don’t get underway until 2020.
Speaking ahead of his side’s clash with Real Madrid on Wednesday, Andone said: “We’re gonna make this match look like the final game. We’il go out without fear. We’il play brave. We will represent the image of our club in the best way.”
