Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker say Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus has lost his self-belief.
The Brazilian has yet to score or assist in ten games across all competitions, and he has only started one Premier League match. Jesus, 27, squandered two chances in Arsenal Champions League 1-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk at home.
He was also passed over for penalty duty, as Leandro Trossard was chosen to take Mikel Arteta’s team’s spot kicks. Jesus had a successful debut season at the Emirates Stadium, but was replaced by Kai Havertz last season.

Despite winning four Premier League titles with Manchester City, Jesus does not appear to be a regular first-team starter for Arteta. Shearer and Lineker believe this may be weighed.
On the Stick to Football podcast, Shearer stated: “They are obviously playing Havertz more as the centre-forward, and Trossard spends a bit of time up there with him, whether as the No.10 or alongside Havertz.”
“Jesus played on Havertz’s right, and he had a few big chances. I believe he has 22 or 23 games in which he wants to score, or something like.
“He squandered two huge opportunities. There’s nothing wrong with his work rate. But when you’re not in the team and you get given an opportunity.
