According to Gary Neville, Manchester United does not want to fire Erik ten Hag, despite their dismal start to the season.
Following their 0-0 draw with Aston Villa on Sunday, United has now had its worst-ever start to a Premier League season with eight points from seven games.
United has lost their past five games in all competitions.
The United management is convening a board meeting in London on Tuesday and co-chairmen Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Joel Glazer are expected to attend.
As a result, Ten Hag is facing mounting pressure over his job, reports Mirror.
“They definitely won’t want to do anything this season,” Neville told Sky Sports, expressing his belief that United wants to keep Erik Ten Hag in control.
In the middle of the season, no team wants to fire its manager.
However, Neville has cautioned that the “next few weeks are critical” for Ten Hag as he seeks to maintain his position.

He went on: “This new framework surrounding Ten Hag has been discussed by Manchester United players, coaches, and supporters.
It has to get to work rather rapidly in the coming weeks.
“If the next international break comes around and Manchester United are still in that 13th, 14th position in the league, I think there’s going to be a lot of pressure.
The next few weeks are critical in making sure they can somehow get some momentum for the rest of the season so that Ten Hag can keep his job.
“Because no United fan wants to see Ten Hag lose his job either, that would just feel like we’re on a roundabout, just spinning the same way we have for the last 10 to 12 years.”
