Although Gary Neville feels Jurgen Klopp’s departure will benefit Liverpool’s forward Mohamed Salah, he has hinted that Klopp emerged victorious after their furious altercation on the touchline.
When Salah was set to come on in the 78th minute of their 2-2 draw with West Ham, he did not appear happy about being benched. After the Egyptian made a few gestures and yelled at Klopp, Darwin Nunez, his teammate, intervened to calm him down.

Following the match, Klopp acknowledged that he had met with Salah in the locker room and that everything had been resolved, but he would not disclose the reason for the argument. In the mixed zone, Salah chose to voice a different opinion by telling the media, “If I speak, there will be fire.”
Neville, a former Manchester United defender, has now expressed his thoughts on the situation and predicts who will win between Klopp and Salah. “Unpleasant when you see [that between] an amazing manager and an amazing player,” he stated to Sky Sports. “I had that a couple of times at Manchester United.
“There can only be one winner, but the issue is that the manager is quitting, which somewhat benefits Salah. If it continued for the remainder of the season, I believe there might be a little issue. Two enormously powerful characters and personalities.”
With just one goal in his previous six Premier League games, Salah has not been playing at his peak level lately. The 31-year-old was benched for the trip to Fulham and returned to the Everton game, but he struggled and Klopp had to bring him back as a substitute for the encounter with West Ham.
