Gary Neville has remained firm in his preseason prediction that Arsenal will win the Premier League this year.

Prior to their matchup with Brentford on Wednesday, the Gunners are now in third place in the standings, nine points behind leaders Liverpool, after a mixed first half of the season.
In their debut season under Arne Slot, Liverpool has so far been the unexpected star, winning 14 of their 18 games.
Mohamed Salah, the current top goal scorer and assist leader, has led the Merseyside club’s title chase.
Though he acknowledged that the current leaders are the favorites to win, Neville thinks Mikel Arteta’s team will win the Premier League for the first time in twenty-one years, reports Sky Sports.
They experience the agony sometimes. Liverpool are enormous favorites and they’re in excellent form but there is still a long way to go,’ the former Manchester United defender told Sky Sports.
‘Arsenal have been through the mild last couple of years. They’ve sort of gone to the wire and sometimes when you win the first time it doesn’t happen in the most expected way, things can happen.’
For the first time since the 2020–21 season, when they finished third, Liverpool was at the top of the standings on Christmas Day.
The Reds would win their 20th league title in May, which would tie them with rivals United for the most ever.
