Gonzalo Higuain’s First Inter Miami Hat Trick Earn Him Player Of The Week

Gonzalo Higuain remains to impress for Inter Miami, as he was named MLS Player of the Week on Monday after netting his first hat-trick for the East Coast club.

The club banked on Higuain’s goals to help the game against FC Cincinnati end in a 4-4 draw on Sunday.

The award was won by Higuain, a former player for Real Madrid, Napoli, Juventus, Chelsea, and other clubs, for the second time in his career. He previously won it on matchday five of the previous season.

“Pipita” Higuan was defeated this past Saturday with a flawless hat-trick, since his “hat-trick” included a variety of goals.

He blasted a strong shot with his right foot to the goalkeeper’s post on a free kick for the opening goal.

Later, with the score still tied at one, he added a second goal with the help of a through pass he received inside the penalty area. Following the ball’s reception, Higuain outwitted the goalkeeper to eventually convert a free kick.

Finally, Higuain scored his final goal near the end of the first half by perfectly shooting to the right side from the 11th penalty spot.

Gonzalo Higuain has seven goals this season and his side is eleventh in the Eastern Conference, three points out of the playoffs, hence the next two games will be essential for Phil Neville’s team.

The San Jose Earthquakes, who are at the bottom of the Western Conference standings, will host Inter Miami in the following round.
