Graham Potter is set to receive a sum of £13m as pay-off from Chelsea, that could have been about £50m.
Following Chelsea’s embarrassing 2-0 loss to Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday, Potter was fired by Todd Boehly on Sunday. He joined at Stamford Bridge in September, with the Blues having to pay Brighton £21.5m in compensation.
It means he’s received £3.1m for the seven Premier League triumphs he’s had since then, with a record of 12 victories in 31 games.
According to The Telegraph, the 47-year-old would have made a total of £50m had he remained in west London for the duration of the contract.
However, the report claims Chelsea have avoided paying him the full value of his contract, and will hand the ex-Brighton boss regular severance payments instead, to compensate for the £190,000 he was on at the club.
Potter’s been quiet since his dismissal but did leave a parting message with Chelsea’s interim manager Bruno Saltor who relayed it to the media.

Saltor told reporters: “I just spoke to Graham five minutes ago and he sent his regards to all of you.
“Obviously it’s been a difficult 24 hours for all of us, for the staff, for the families and now we just have to deal with the situation.”
Saltor’s got a tough task ahead trying to stabilise Chelsea’s season until they find a new permanent boss.
His first task in charge will be against Liverpool who the Blues face in the Premier League tonight.
