Guardiola Provides Injury Update On Haaland Ahead Of Real Madrid Clash

Pep Guardiola has reportedly revealed that Erling Haaland has travelled with the team to Spain and may play in Wednesday night’s UEFA Champions League matchup against Real Madrid.

Haaland gave Manchester City a serious fright over the weekend when he was substituted out in the last moments of the team’s 4-0 victory over Newcastle United due to a knee issue. And there has been a lot of conjecture over whether he will be available for City’s trip to the Bernabeu.

After losing a lead late in the first leg at The Etihad last week, City are now down 3-2 on aggregate. The Premier League champions will therefore benefit greatly from the news that Haaland and Jack Grealish, who was also doubtful, will be available.

“Yes, they travelled. We will see tomorrow but it’s good news they are here obviously,” Guardiola said of the duo and defenders Nathan Ake and Ruben Dias on Tuesday as echoed by The Mirror.
