Manchester City talismanic forward, Erling Haaland has thrown away any form of rivalry as he showed his support to Manchester United outcast, Jadon Sancho.
Sancho hasn’t played for the Red Devils since their 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest in August last year, when he and Erik ten Hag got into a heated argument.
The 23-year-old, who was left out of their 3-1 loss at Arsenal on September 3, did not apologize for his criticism of Ten Hag’s training methods, and has been training alone since October.
Four months have passed since the £73 million signing Sancho has experience playing in the first team. But on Wednesday, Haaland took to social media to remind everyone of the attributes of his former colleague.
According to Daily Mail, posting a photo of the two enjoying the 2020–21 German Cup victory at Borussia Dortmund, Haaland showered Sancho with praise. Referring to him as a ‘proper baller that’ and adding an emoji of love hearts for eyes.
Sancho and Haaland had a successful 18 months together at Dortmund, combining for 57 goals and 32 assists in their only full season together in 2020–21.
Sancho joined United that summer, but as disclosed on Thursday, it appears that he will be returning to Dortmund on loan to resolve an impasse regarding his immediate future.
According to Bild, a deal to loan the player until the end of the season is almost finalized.

The report stated Sancho could report as early as Friday to Dortmund’s winter training camp in Marbella, Spain, as only tax details need to be finalized.
The report further claimed Dortmund will only pay roughly £2.6 million for the deal overall.
