Flick comments after Barcelona’s success.
Hansi Flick, Barcelona’s coach, was pleased when he spoke to the press following the victory.
“We played an excellent game. Today is a day to be happy and optimistic. The team is fantastic. The players immediately sense that we are a terrific squad. “I can only congratulate the team,” Flick told the press (via Mundo Deportivo).
“We always remained unified. We guarded and attacked together. That’s what matters. That was the key. “The goal is to learn from each game and improve day by day,” he explained.
Barcelona’s victory last night represen/[-ted the squad’s first triumph under Flick’s leadership, though he admitted that the team made mistakes.
“I enjoy having a team that plays in a specific style; how we played is essential. We made several blunders today, which we need to reduce. “When we have the ball, everything is easier,” he explained.
Regarding Szczesny’s red card, the German stated, “It is not easy to play with 10 against Real Madrid.” We’ve got two outstanding goalkeepers. We defended as a team.
“Because we discussed the changes that had to be made after Szczesny was sent off and they turned out well.”
Hansi Flick went on to give his perspective on the path ahead.
“I have lived in this planet for many years. The goal of the large clubs is to win titles, which is why we work hard. “Now we have to prove ourselves in every game,” he remarked.
Finally, Flick recounted what he told his squad when Mbappe scored an early goal, putting Barcelona behind in the first five minutes.
“I am proud of the players, the entire staff, and the supporters. It was good for us to come back following Mbappé’s opening goal. We did great, and it was wonderful,” he said.
