Harry Kane praised his squad for “working out” another three points as Tottenham defeated Nottingham Forest 2-0 at the City Ground on Sunday. Kane scored a goal in each half and had a penalty saved.
In the fifth minute, the England captain was found by Dejan Kulusevski and rolled in a low effort for his 200th league goal of his professional career.
The second half saw Forest goalkeeper Dean Henderson deny Kane from the penalty spot for the first time in 22 efforts.
However, he made up for it in the closing ten minutes by heading in Richarlison’s excellent cross.
He now ranks joint-third among all-time scorers, behind only Wayne Rooney and Alan Shearer, with his 187th Premier League goal.

What Did Kane Say?
Speaking after the match, Harry Kane said to Sky Sports: “We didn’t play our best, especially in the first half.
“We had to dig in and there have been a couple of games like that this season. But we could do better.
“We’ve had a great pre-season, we’re feeling fit but we’re not quite showing it yet. We are still winning games and becoming stronger as the game goes on. It’s a long season and we’re grinding out wins.”
