Harry Kane is expected to sign an improved contract at Tottenham Hotspur worth £100,000 a week.
Having emerged in Spurs’ first-team from the club’s youth ranks last season, Kane has grown into arguably their most important player and one of the most promising strikers in Europe.
The 22-year-old has scored 25 Premier League goals this season, which is more than any other player in England’s top tier, and the Daily Mail believe that he’ll now be rewarded with a new and improved contract at White Hart Lane.
The England international currently earns £50,000 a week meaning the new deal will double his wages and make him the highest-paid player in the history of the club.
Kane only signed a new five-year contract last February but having followed up last season’s 31-goal tally in all competitions with 28 so far this term, Mauricio Pochettino is desperate to keep the striker in North London with Manchester United believed to be big admirers.
The Englishman – who will likely lead the line for the Three Lions at Euro 2016 – can do it all and is one of the best finishers in Europe, converting 21.6% of his chances to lead the scoring charts in the Premier League.
