Kane sustained a back injury on the eve of this summer’s Euros, and while he scored three goals to help England advance to the final, he lacked finishing ability.

Bayern head to South Korea as part of their preparations for the upcoming season, where they will meet Tottenham in the Coupang Player Series on August 3.

“Harry Kane, Alphonso Davies, Dayot Upamecano, and Kingsley Coman will not be present, but hopefully for the first cup game,” new Bayern manager Kompany remarked during a press conference.

However, Kane will have another chance to face his former club when Bayern host Tottenham Hotspur on August 10. The 30-year-old left Tottenham as the club’s all-time leading scorer, with 280 goals in all competitions.

Bayern’s season kicks off against SSV Ulm on Aug. 16 in the DFB Cup first round.
