Harvey Elliott stated that he was underwhelmed with the atmosphere at Goodison Park during the final Merseyside derby.
It was a fittingly dramatic match on Wednesday night, with James Tarkowski volleying in a magnificent equaliser in the 98th minute, sparking wild celebrations.
Following the match, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Curtis Jones were sent off for brawling, and Liverpool manager Arne Slot and his assistant Sipke Hulshoff were also sacked.
Everton took the lead via Beto in what appeared to be a thunderous atmosphere, but Elliott, an unused substitute, was obviously not in the mood to cheer on the home fans.

When asked if he felt the fans during the match, Elliott told TNT Sports, “Not really.”
When pressed about the “roar” audible across Goodison Park, the 21-year-old responded: “Yeah, the Liverpool fans.”
Liverpool responded to Beto’s opening goal within five minutes, with Alexis MacAllister heading past Jordan Pickford, before Mohamed Salah scored in the 73rd minute for what appeared to be the derby winner.
Slot’s side was seconds away from jumping nine points ahead at the top of the Premier League, but that lead is now seven points as Tarkowski scored in the final seconds, which stood after a lengthy VAR review.
“This game feels like a loss, because of everything that happened,” Elliott informed the crowd.
“I think we need to look at the big picture. It’s a point on the board in a difficult venue, especially given the circumstances of the previous Merseyside derby here.”
