Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz says he could be tempted by a move away from the Bundesliga at the end of the season. Havertz was heavily linked with an exit last summer but Bayer managed to keep hold of the player.
The Germany international is thought to be a target for Bayern Munich but Havertz has suggested he is looking for a move to another European league.
The 20-year-old broke into the Leverkusen team in 2016 and has already managed 118 appearances for the German side, scoring 31 goals.
Havertz has seemingly ruled out a January departure but admits he could be tempted by a fresh challenge at the end of the campaign.
He told Marca: “I’m confident that I can go abroad at any moment and play at clubs outside of Germany. For the moment, I want to have a good season. Afterwards, we’ll see.”
Havertz could have the chance to move to the Premier League at the end of the campaign as Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked with the forward.
La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are also understood to be keeping tabs on the Leverkusen star and Havertz may well have a number of options if he is to move on at the close of the campaign.
It has been suggested Bayer would demand a fee of around €100million for their prized asset.
However, if he enjoys another successful season that figure may well rise by the time the summer transfer window arrives.
